Sometimes even the landscaper needs to tend to his lawn.

We’ve spent 15 years making videos for other people’s brands. Brands we love, stories we believed in, content we were genuinely proud of. But somewhere along the way, we realized we’d been so busy telling everyone else’s story that it’s been a while since we told our own. Who is MRP Studios in 2026?.

So we did something about it.

We Defined Our North Star

This year marks 15 years of MRP Studios. And unlike when we accidentally fell into making videos for brands back in the early days (true story…), we wanted to be deliberate about what the next chapter looks like.

We landed on a simple idea: We want to turn your brand into your new favourite TV show.

Not an ad. Not a content package. A show. Like something people binge watch with joy.

Got a brewery? We’ll turn it into Dunder Mifflin. Got a heartfelt story? Maybe your vibe is more This Is Us. Need a documentary? By golly, let’s give it the kind of heart that makes Love On The Spectrum so darn magical. (Gosh, I love that show.)

The question was: how do you communicate that idea to new clients?

Video One: The Vibe Check

First, you create a vibe check. A video that lets your freak flag fly and basically says, “If you like this, you just may like us.”

Ours is exactly that: a peek into how we think, what we find funny, and the kind of energy we bring to a set. It’s not polished in a corporate way. It’s polished in a we-actually-care way.

Video Two: Video Production in a Nutshell

Then we made something a little more practical.

A six-minute video that walks through our process, how we think about video strategy, and what it’s actually like to work with us.

Six minutes, you say? Yep. In six minutes, a new client can understand exactly how we work, and save themselves (and us) a good 30 minutes on a Zoom call.

Not all videos are built for social media, my friends. Some are simply designed to make life easier.

What We Didn’t Expect

The best part of making these videos was what happened in the process.

It reignited something. Making content for ourselves, with no client brief and no approval chain, just our own creative instincts, reminded us exactly why we started doing this in the first place.

After 15 years, we’re more excited than ever to create something awesome. At MRP Studios, we’re on a mission to radically transform how Canadian brands think about video by making content people genuinely love to watch.

Otherwise, what’s the darn point?

If your brand were a TV show, what show would it be? Drop it in the comments. We genuinely want to know.
