What an ambitious treat it was to be a part of this fantastic project. When Form & Affect approached us with their idea to create a short film with Downtown St. Catharines as the landscape we were sold! It was a delightful collaboration where we got to dive into the side of filmmaking we love – writing a script, directing actors, storyboarding scene to showcase the talent/story, but most importantly the backdrop. It’s a fluffy romcom, yes, but it’s our fluffy romcom and we couldn’t be more proud of it.
The most rewarding aspect of this project was how it brought so many talents together. Different companies working together, different artists submitting music, multiple businesses welcoming the film crew into their open businesses. Everyone with a singular vision to showcase our hometown in the best light possible in hopes the world can see St. Catharines the way we do.
